Slipping out of his room and trodding across the lawn, heading toawrds the edge of the camp, the witch rolled his eyes. *You don't have to*
*bark and wake everyone up, you could've just talked through the link*.
*I know, I know~and that was quiet, anyway*!~he replied, shifting into his half human form and bounding up to hug the other, "Hi brujita!"
Lovino shoved the wolf away once he hugged him, stomach lurching oddly. "Keep your paws offa me, mutt."
Letting go, he beamed and clapped his hands. "Did brujita bring the seeds ~?"
He held up a small bag with a sigh. "Right here."
Antonio smiled and nodded, enthusiastic as he fell to the dirt. "Great! Then I'll dig holes, you plant!"
"Alright. Don't get dirt everywhere." The witch opened the small satchel, observing the amount of seeds.
(( *booms out laughing* you expect a wolf to not get DIRT? ))
He nodded and shifted back into his wolf form, then started digging. So much for not getting dirt; dust flew as he scratched out a hole.
(( I've spoke too soon. ))
He scowled, crossing his arms over his chest, observing. "Can't do anything right, huh."
(( <333 *sits at the lurker sofa with lurker popcorn and nomnoms* ))
[[-Sends a glare in the direction of the couch-]]
(( *makes out with Port randomly* what? *beams at Lovi* we're just lurking innocently. ))
Antonio barked, a laugh, and returned to digging, dust all over his snout. "*It's more fun this way*!"
(...BRO. I AM SO PROUD. ALSO HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU AND ENGLAND =U= )
[[...-Slightly horrified-]]
(( *sighs and nomnoms popcorn quietly* /STOPS SPAM ))
"Dumbass." The witch plunked down on the ground, adjusting his dress so it couldn't be seen under.
With a smile, he finished the first hole, then sat patiently, waiting. " *Put em in there*~"
"How many?" he asked, crawling closer in his hands and knees, opening the tiny bag.
"Two." he replied softly, then paused, nosing what appeared to be a small leather satchet around his neck. Inside were what appeared to be
the remains of a fish,t hus the strange smell. Carefully nosing out a piece, he dropped it in the hole. " *There! That'll help it grow*."
He wrinkled his nose in distaste. "If you say so." The witch places two of the tiny seeds in the hole.
With that said and done, the wolf started recovering the hole,a lilt to his to his tone. "*I usually do this part in human form but...I
haven't been able to hunt lately, so I'm having more trouble switching forms*."
"O-oh..." *I'm a little relieved*... he thought to himself, forgetting about the link for a moment. "We'll have to water all them after."
Ignoring the second comment--it kind of stung a little, but he let it go the best he could, putting on a grin. "*Course! Come on, we haven't
"We kinda do, if we need," he grumbled, but rolled his eyes. "Dig the next hole."
Doing just that, the Spaniard returned cheerfully to his job, his butt wagging in the air as he did so.
"Is that necessary?" Lovino asked, poking at the dog's swaying rear. "It's not like I asked for you to show off your ass to me as well."
He just barked a little laugh and pulled away from the hole, snout covered in dirt. "*Done*!"

(Mine's failing too DDD: )
The witch continued the ritual, placing seeds in the freshly-dug hole, and leaning back to allow Antonio to continue.
[[Honestly? Does it find the need to not tell me about the reply that I care about probably the most, but tell me every other reply?]]
He did just that; the two continued on in that routine until they had a fully planted row. Antonio sat back and looked to the other,
shifting forms to his half human one. " GOod job!"
He stared out at the rows upon rows of tomato drops, a thoughtful expression on his face. "...Thanks," he replied dazedly.
Antonio nodded, sitting crosslegged and beaming at the witch. " Welcome! Those'll taste good!"
Mhmm." He laid back on the earth beneath him, staring up at the stars. "...I used to come out here all the time, whenever I was lonely or
felt out of place at home. But... Not so much any more."
Antonio lay back as well, getting comfortable on the freshly dug earth. "Why not anymore, brujita?"
Fidgeting a little, he slid his eyes shut, breathing lightly. "I don't know. Guess the same reasons to come out here don't really apply to
" Not...lonely anymore?" he tilted his head to look at the other, blinking innocently.
"...I guess not."The witch did the same, sliding his eyes open and looking at Antonio before averting his gaze.
He smiled brightly, completely oblivious. "Si! Must not be, with Feliciano and Arthur! Brujita must be happy!"
"T-that's not what I... U-um, yeah. Sure. S-sure." He was beginning to ramble.
Antonio blinked, completely lost. " What?"
"N-nothing. Nothing at all!" Leave it to Lovino to befriend the densest person in the whole forest.
He just smiled and folded his arms behind his head, looking up. "Now what?"
"We're all out of seeds, but I don't really feel like trekking all the way back to bring a water pail out here and water them..." The
witch's face was slowly returning to normal coloring.
"I will do it, in a little while." he replied, eyes trained on the stars above. "Still have time until sunrise!"
It baffled him, how Antonio always seemed to know when sunrise was. "What's so important about sunrise?"
"I promised I'd be home to bro." he chirped, looking over at the witch beside him. "Can't stay out forever!"
Lovino didn't meet the werewolf's gaze, staring away from the furry male. "...Hnn." Something in him wished that he *could* stay out
forever, but he pushed that part down.
He laughed and scooched a touch closer to Lovino, turning on his side. "But, can stay here for a while, now~"
Offering a small scowl at the wolf's scooching, looking at him now, he mumbled a response. "But, *I* can stay," he corrected.
"But I can stay." he responded, nodding his head. Antonio's English had gotten much better since the first few days; he was a quick learner.
This reminding him, he beamed. "How's fighting going? Doing better in sparring?"
He mumbled something inaudible, staring at the ground, cheeks pink. He didn't want to admit that he hadn't improved at all since the last
time him and Antonio had had a lesson.
"Does need practice?" Antonio tilted his head to look at the other. "I can always...try best to help?"
He was about to refuse assistance before something one of the elder witches said popped into his head. "...Since we're... P-partners now,
maybe we should try training together. So it's easier to do your job as familiar." His cheeks reddened at the word 'partners'; even though
he didn't mean it like *that* it was still weird to say.
Antonio beamed immediately, nodding his head as he leaned over and hugged hte other, thrilled with the thought. "Ahh, that sounds good!
Really, really, really good!"
The witch reddened at the touch, shoving weakly at Antonio. "O-oi! I didn't say you could hug me!" Scowling and furrowing his brows, he
continued quieter, "...Really good?"
He nodded, still hugging the other, face buried in his neck. Lovino smelled good...but not in the I-want-to-eat-the-human way, just...
just smelled good. Smiling fondly, Antonio rested his chin on the other's shoulders and looked up. "Really, really, really good!"
Red-faced and wriggling at the other's touch, he stammered out a response. "F-fine then. We'll meet together in the forest tomorrow."
"Sounds like a plan." he replied, then leaned over to kiss his cheek. More time with the brujita was always fun, for Antonio.
He flinched at the kiss, wrestling an arm out of Antonio's death grip and yanking on an ear harshly, blood pooling in his cheeks. "Don't
*do* that!" Honestly, Antonio must enjoy seeing him squirm, Lovino figured, murmuring something about 'playing with feelings'.
"Train, then, lets! Have time!" Antonio leapt up, rather suddenly, only yelping a little at the tug on his ear, and held out his hands to
help the other. "I know how to help!"
He blinked at the sudden change, feeling emotional whiplash. "O-okay..." he replied, extending his hands warily and linking them with
Antonio's, pulling himself up.
Antonio kept a hold of his hand, smiling and swinging their linked hands. "Where to?"
Lovino glared down at their hands, but chose not to say anything, slightly pink in the cheeks. "It doesn't matter. You probably know better
places than me. Not like I'm ever allowed out of here." He remembered how he'd had to sneak out to travel into town.
He nodded, then laughed jovially- even human, his voice sounded like a bark. Antonio started jogging out into the field, leaping the fence
around the complex and holding out his arms to Lovino. "Come on, jump! Boss'll catch you!"
"U-um..." With unsteady footing, he stumbled up the fence, pitching himself over the other side, eyes closed tight. *You better catch me*!
And sure enough, Lovino fell light as a feather into Antonio's arms, bridle style--he was so light! Antonio beamed down at him, ears
twitching ever so slightly. "See! Caught you!"
Glaring at those twitching ears-- Practically *mocking* him, they were-- he resisted the urge to tug them almost off the wolf's head. "I
Antonio beamed and stepped into the woods beyond, still holding the other. "Hahaha~you should trust me! 'd never hurt you ever~"
"Have you earned my trust yet? I do seem to recall that the first time we met you tried to eat me." The witch wondered if he still seemed
like food to the other male.
"The first time." he responded sweetly, looking down at the witch in his arms before setting him down. "But not now! Lovi is friend!"
"Still." He crossed his arms over his chest, a bit glad to be set down but slightly sad, for some reason that he couldn't put his finger on.
"You're supposed to guard me with your life. I have to be given solid evidence to trust you before I put my safety in your hands."
Antonio smiled sweetly towards the other, his hands resting behind his back. "Makes sense! So I hope you trust me! I trust you."
"Do you. And why, exactly, do you trust me?" He tugged lightly on Antonio's tail, irritated at his grin and backwards reasoning.
"Because dont think brujita would let me down." The Spaniard replied softly, looking over at the witch beside him.
He was silent a moment, pausing, swallowing. "...O-oh."
Grinning and probably not realizing the gravity of his former statement, Antonio led the other to a moonlit clearing, beaming. "Here we are~
Lovino looked around, taking a moment to appreciate the clearing, shimmering with white soft moonlight. "The compound never gets this
(/JOINS YOU STUPID THING 8|| )
Antonio smiled and disappeared into the forest for just a moment, returning holding a few pinecones. "Okay! Let's get started! Go stand
in the middle. On balls of your feet, like this." Antonio stood in the proper position, on the balls of his feet but crouched a tad low.
[[IT'S BEING REALLY COCKBLOCKY TODAY]]
"Alright..." He did as told, standing properly after a few tries, mimicking the alpha to the best of his ability.
Antonio walked around the other in a circle, strong hands on his back for a moment to help him into the right position; then, he chucked a
pine cone at him, gently. "Block it."
"W-wha--" Next thing he knew the pinecone bopped off him, stinging a bit-- Antonio was a lot stronger than he thought. "What the hell do you
"With arms! Block it." he chirped, tossing another from behind his back. "Concentrate."
"B-but it's behind me! How do I block it with my arms!?" he yelped a bit as the second one hit him, eyes watering a bit.
"Turn towards it. Sense where it's coming." He replied, tossing the next one right in front of his face.
"Ahh--!" he squeaked, ducking and placing his arms in front of his face. "Stupid! Do you wanna make me go blind in my other eye, too?!" He
clamped his mouth shut a moment later, realizing what he'd said. Shit.
Antonio blinked, slowly, still holding the next pinecone in his hand. "Brujita...can't see?"
He stared at the ground, burning in shame and cursing his own stupidity, fists clenched. "...In one eye."
Antonio frowned, looking at him, then smiled a bit. "...So brujita just has to work harder then! That is...ad...admirable!"
The witch flicked his head back up, staring in amazement at the werewolf, blinking his eyes in amazement, blind one hidden by his bangs as
always. ".....Admirable?"
He nodded, smiling brightly. "Admirable! You are strong, brujita! Very strong!"
"Strong... Because of my stupid eye?" He glanced down at his hands. *Strong*. Preposterous.
"You are."he replied, stopping his onslaught and stepping forward to take the other's hands in his own. "Brujita is very strong! I mean..."
Taking a breath, he paused and moved to his link, speaking a touch easier. "*You fight by yourself, you're the only male one of your kind*--
*and you're really, really good at magic...You're astounding*."
Heart pounding for a reason he really couldn't place, Lovino gravitated closer to the alpha, staring up at him with wide eyes.
"Astounding...?" He paused a moment, gathering his wits. "A-and... I don't really have to fight alone, any more..."
He nodded. " *I can't imagine living like you do. And that's one of hte things that makes you so strong*. Antonio took the other's hands in
his own, smiling. "*And that's one of the things I really love about you*~"
His heart leaped into his throat, though he kept telling himself over and over that Antonio probably didn't realize what he was saying;
there was nothing that anyone could *love* about him. Still, he couldn't help but blush furiously and stare at their interlocked hands.
Antonio smiled and squeezed the other's hands, sincere in every word he was saying. "*You are amazing, Lovi. You shouldn't tell yourself*
"D-don't say things like that... Yo-you're being..." Lovino felt weird, stomach buzzing oddly, thoughts haywire.
"*Being what*?" The wolf tilted his head curiously, looking the other over, ears swiveling to attention.
"Y-you wouldn't understand..." He never did understand, really. Even that night in the forest, he didn't understand the meaning of the word
'romantic'. "Y-you're just..."
"*Just*...?" Antonio was horridly confused; he gave a good natured squeeze of the other's hands and blinked, staring at him.
"You're... being... b-b-being--" He looked around frantically, as if from out of the shadows an answer would pop out on how to convey the
conflicting emotions buzzing through him. "J-j-just--"
The wolf frowned, looking him over, before letting go and resting one hand on his forehead. "*Are you feeling okay*?"
"I'm feeling fine!" he snapped, though it wasn't completely true. His face was heating up, but at least Antonio had let go of his hands.
Antonio frowned and removed his hands from the other's face, stepping a touch closer to nuzzle his nose against his cheek. "*Really warm..*"
"A-ah-- What are you--" This probably only succeeded in making the witch's cheeks heat up more, and he froze, though every instinct was
telling him to take off, flee.
" *Checking temperature*!" he chirped, then pulled away, rubbing at his nose with his hand. "*I guess you're okay*..."
"I-I told you I was..." he murmured, staring at the earth and furiously wishing his blush away. "You're just too stupid to listen."
"*Careful. Just careful* he responded with a chuckle, patting the witch's cheek before standing up fully. "*We should get back to work*!"
Scowling, he nodded a bit. "Yeah. Get to it."
He nodded then stepped back from the other, scooping up the pinecones he had dropped and switching back to his usual voice. "One, two--" At
two, he lofted a pinecone to the other's chest.
"H-hey--" he squeaked as the pinecone hit him. "Aren't you normally supposed to count to three?!"
" No enemy is going to warn you!" he chirped, chucking another one mere inches from his head.
"Eep!" He leaned to the side when the pinecone came hurtling towards him, missing it barely. "S-shut up! I know that!"
Smiling, Antonio laughed, trying again, this time for his chest."Course~ "
[[-Beats Plurk violently-]]
Scowling, he wrapped his arms over his stomach, the pinecone hitting his arm and bouncing to the ground. "There, happy? Crazy person-eating
Antonio beamed. "Great! Now try two!" Without any warning, he chucked two of the pinecones at the other, laughing teasingly.
"H-hey!" Lovino didn't succeed in blocking either of the pinecones, flinching as one stung his bare leg. "I can't do that!"
"Your target has more than one way to get you, brujita~" he chirped, chucking another one at him, "And fast!"
"Augh! This is stupid!" he yelled, barely dodging the pinecone thrown at him. "Running is easier, for spell's sake!"
"What if brujita gets into a fight?"Antonio asked, tossing a pinecone nice and high. "Without me there?"
"I-I don't know! But I can't do this! It's not helping!" He ducked the pinecone with a squeak.
Antonio stopped for a moment, hands in his pockets. "...have to go soon, anyway. Maybe should stop for night?"
"...W-whatever. Do as you please." The witch didn't want him to go, and he didn't want to hold him up, either. And he wouldn't admit any of
With a grin, the wolf stepped forward and hugged his partner, nuzzling his head in his neck, tail wagging behind him. "Okay! See you soon,
He nodded and leaned up, placing a soft kiss on the werewolf's cheek before jumping a bit, flushing bright red, and shoving away. "I-I
didn't mean that! T-t-that's-- That was--"
Antonio blinked once, twice, then happily returned the gesture, a dopey grin on his face as he did so. "Ahaha! Gracias! See you soon~!"
He stared at the ground, mumbling a small goodbye, then "See you for training tomorrow."
He beamed and nodded, shifting into his full wolf form, then replied "*Bye, brujita*~!"
"Get out of here before your brother gets pissed," he murmured, looking up to make eye contact with the wolf for a moment. *Be careful*.
Antonio nodded twice, meeting Lovino's gaze for just a brief moment and barked affirmatively. "*I will, promise*." With that said, he dashed
off into the night, a tan colored blur in between the trees.
He looked around, scanning the clearing, before beginning the long trek home, hoping he wouldn't get lost, tracing fingers over his cheek
as if he could still feel the alpha's lips there.
