looks up at him. "You can help if you want, I guess." he said. Really he was just looking for one particular thing.
scratches his neck. "Ah... That ring you saw before." he mumbled, blushing lightly.
"Oh..."*frowns some* "It was in that box."
searches through that box, then, hoping it wasn't damaged.
sighs. "It wasn't particularly from anyone... it was sort of passed down."
shook his head. "Not really." He wasn't sure how to explain it. He dug through the box, trying to find it. "It's my own." He pulled out--
"Your own ring? That is one they use for weddings, hai?"
"Yes. It is complicated. I was married to my rulers until up about... maybe two centuries ago?" Honestly he couldn't remember anymore. But--
the ring meant more to him than that.
"Oh I understand...Is that why you treasure it?"
shook his head. "Each one of my rulers was not married to me. I was married to them." he held up the ring. "When they got married I would--
"May I ask why you still keep it?"
"It reminds me of someone."
"Oh..." *he was not sure whom this could be*
held the ring up to the light, smiling at the fact that it wasn't scratched. "Still pristine as ever..."
*watches him curiously* England-san, may I ask who?"
blinks at him and smiles. "Elizabeth."
holds the ring in his palm, continuing his examination of it. "She's the only one I never took it off." He probably wouldn't still be--
keeping the ring if it weren't for her.
"She was special to you, hai?"
looks up at him, a small sense of sadness in his eyes. "Yes... she was very special." he murmured.
*gently touches his shoulder to comfort him some* "You should keep in a special place, so you can honor her memory."
"It should remain here." He gave a weak smile. He had his reasons.
[Night. Let's continue tomorrow, I'm like dead xD;]
*looks at him confused some*
sighed a little. "I guess it's what she'd want?"
"I can understand that, some things in our pasts are better to let them go."
a small smile. "Yes. I should be." He had been fine up until now so he didn't see any reason not to be.
"I was concerned some...these memories seemed to upset you."
shook his head, digging around for a box to put the ring in. He'd probably get it if he knew the whole story, but he wasn't exactly sure--
he wanted to hear it. Or if he could tell it.
"What else are you looking for?"
"A box to put it in. I don't want it to get scratched."
*looks around and finds a small one* "Would this work?"
blinks, taking it. "This should work fine. Thank you." he puts it inside and gently closes it up.
"I am happy we found one that will keep it in good condition."
nods, placing it inside the bigger box that it was in earlier.
"She was lucky to have you care about her, I think."
isn't sure what to think about that. "I guess." he chuckles.
"Gomensai if that sounded odd."
"I understand what you meant."
"Oh..." * smiles gently at him*
stands up, brushing himself off of dust from the attic. "Alright alright I'll get you something to eat in a minute." he murmured to--
seemingly no one. Most likely a faerie.
*looked at him confused* "Was that directed to me?"
shook his head, smiling. "Faeries."
"Oh, I understand. What do you feed them?"
"They usually enjoy fruit. Honey too."
"Shall we feed them now?" * he was curious to see this*
gave a nod. "I'll feed them some peaches and honey."
"Do they usually eat it all?"
"Yes. I have to make sure they don't eat too much honey though.
"So I should be able to see them eating it, hai?"
hums. "It depends. I've never tried it. You might see the honey disappear... or they might just wait until you're gone."
"Oh." * he was disappointed by this, he had wished to see them eat it*
"Would you like me to make tea?" He leads him downstairs.
"Sure...If it is no trouble."
"I wouldn't ask if it was." he grins, moving to the kitchen.
*smiles gently at him* "Oh that is true."
opens the fridge, grabbing the honey.
"How often do you feed them?"
hums. "Three, maybe four times a day. Sometimes more. Hungry little buggers they are." He grabs a teaspoon.
*smirks a bit* "Neko is like that but I do not allow him that many meals."
"They eat more than us in general. Well, more often that is."
*nods* "You do not think they will eat when I am here?"
shrugs. "I'm not exactly sure. They hide themselves from most people to begin with. But then again, most people can just... see them.--
"I wonder if they trusted me they would allow me to see them."
Kiku
wonders 14 years ago
how he can gain their trust.
"Don't worry about it... they don't show themselves to most people." He pours out about three teaspoons of honey onto a small plate.
*nods and watches closely for them*
grabs a small peach also.
sets it on the table then starts to make tea.
"Is there anything I can do to help?
about this for a second before answering. "No, I've got it."
*nods and keeps his eye on the peach and honey*
finishes making the tea and chuckles. The faeries are eating the peach from the other side Japan is facing.
*looks at Arthur confused* "Are they eating it?"
*looks closer and frowns* "I cannot see them.."
"They're eating it." he turns back to the tea.
*sighs and sips his tea* "They must not trust me."
"Don't worry about it. There's no saying you'll be able to see them even if they did trust you."
*nods* "I just want to understand you more so I wish to be able to see them."
doesn't really know what to say to that. He sips his tea.
"Did I say something wrong again?"
"Oh..." *carefully sips his tea*
watches the faeries start to eat the honey.
*notices this* "They are still eating, hai?"
drinks more of his tea. "Yes."
looks at him a little quizzically.
"The fairies, you look much calmer when they are around."
blinks, thinking about this. "I... suppose that's true." he murmurs, holding his teacup at his mouth.
"They are good if they do that."
blushes a little. "Well I've known them ever since I was little." he scratches his neck.
*nods* "England-san, I do hope you can find that happiness in others as well.."
"Thank you... you're very kind."
*smiles gently at him* "I only wish you the best."
"Arigato...I do hope we both can find happiness."
"I'll have to agree with you on that..."
shrugs. "Who knows? I'm not to say."
"I'm sure it'll work out for the best." He moved to set his cup in the sink.
"Hai...you are still waiting on America-san, hai?"
blushes. "Ah... I'd rather not talk about that right now."
"Gomensai...I should not have said it..."
shook his head. "It's fine."
*tries to think of something to make it less awkward* "Are the fairies still eating?"
gave a nod. "They're almost finished."
"Um that is good..I do hope they enjoyed their meal."
chuckled. "I'm sure they did."
*nods unsure how this became awkward again*
*but to him many of his relationships have been awkward as of late*
hums, watching the faeries that were invisible to Japan. "They're glowing white."
blinks at him. "The faeries, they're glowing white."
"Oh. Is that normal for them?"
"They change colors depending on their moods. White is happy."
"Oh that is good that they are happy."
nods. "Its probably because of the honey."
"They do not have that for a normal meal?"
"I don't often give it to them; too much can make them sick. I make sure to measure it first."
"Oh I understand so It is a type of treat for them, hai."
"Yes... more like a treat." he moved to clean up the dishes on the table now that the faeries were finished.
*picks up his own cup and sets it in the sink* "They do seem like good companions."
nods. "I've known them all my life."
"Well I am happy for you that you have them because they make you happy."
