doesn't know what a 'Guitar Hero' is, but maybe that's from the fact that he has never seen a video game before... at least not yet.
a *beast* at Guitar Hero, but the Bioshock game he's playing now is kicking his ass pretty hard.
that if he is a beast when he plays 'Guitar Hero' maybe he shouldn't play it!! [Fff child minds XD]
glance away from his game and fumbles the controller. "Holy *shit*, why are you so damn small? What did you take this time?"
blinks up at the unknown man, crossing his arms and pouting. "Pottymouth!!" he accuses.
pokes him in the forehead. "Yeah, yeah. Sit down, little man."
snorts and pats his head. "You look pretty little to me."
shouts, "Nuhuh! I am not little!" His lip quivered, but he looked more angry, if anything.
winces and shoves a bag of chips in his direction. "Ain't a damn thing changed about your yelling though. Here, eat."
stares at the bag in his hands with curiosity. "What are... do...doraytos?" he asked, totally butchering the name. He blinked up at him,--
he had never seen a food like this.
pauses the game and grabs the bag back. He digs down into it and pulls out a chip, holding it out for Arthur. "It's food! You eat 'em and
takes the chip and looks at it skeptically. "This doesn't look like food." He stated, but put it in his mouth anyway. "Crunchy." he--
mumbled, before swallowing the chip. He paused. "Tastes strange'." he said, but reached for more.
handed the bag over with a grin, knowing full well how addicting the nacho things were. "Just 'cause they aren't burnt is all."
looks at him curiously. "Nuh. I'm used to berries!" he chirped. He had only really tried cooking once.
frowns, scratching his chin with the game controller. "Don't have any of that. But I could find you somethin' if you're real hungry!"
shook his head. "Nah! I'm fine." he grabs more dorritos. Okay they were really good.
nods and picks his controller up again. "You wanna learn how to play a video game?"
sticks his fingers in his mouth, licking off the cheese. He nods, moving over next to him. "How do you play it?" he asks around his fingers.
's nose wrinkles. "Ew, little kid spit. Wipe your hands off first. Nacho cheese stains *everything*. ...even skin where it..um..shouldn't
blinked, looking around for something to use. "What do I wipe it off with?" He was tempted to use his cloak, but he didn't want it to be
sighed, put the controller down and stood up. Was this what it was like for Arthur taking care of *him* when he was little? "Come on, I'll
show you where the bathroom is."
nodded, standing up. "What's a bathroom?"
stares at him for a second. Had Arthur's memories reverted back to what they were when he was this young too? "D'you even know who I am,
blinked at him with curiosity. "No?"
laughs and reaches out to take whichever of Arthur's hands is the least sticky to lead him to the bathroom. "Well, I'm Alfred. I'm America."
nodded. "M' name's Arthur." he said, taking his hand. "You're my... friend...?" Kiku said so, at least.
leads him to the bathroom and turns the water on in the sink for him. "Ah...yup, I'm your friend." In a manner of speaking, yes. Best to
leave the explanation right there where it was simple though.
smiled. He had a lot of friends when he was older. He couldn't quite reach the sink, even on his tippy toes.
picks him up so he can actually reach the water. "This is a bathroom, by the way. Where you take baths and stuff."
blinks. "You use magic!" he exclaimed, reaching out his hands to wash them.
would usually take such bait and pick on Arthur mercilessly, but since this is a little kid version... "Whatcha mean?"
hummed. "Water! It's comin' out here!" he said, motioning to the faucet. "Can ya' see faeries? Did they teach you?" he asked taking his--
hands back once they were cleaned.
laughs as he sets him down and hands him a little towel to dry his hands. "Nope. Ain't ever seen a fairy. That's just indoor plumbing, not
blinked at him. "What's plumb-ing?"
to pause to yawn before answering. "This system of things, like pipes and junk, that water runs through. You'll figure it out later."
nodded. He didn't exactly know what a pipe was, either, except for smoking... but what did that have to do anything with water? "Can we--
nods as returns to the living room. He drags a blanket off the back of the couch on the way to wrap around his shoulders. T-shirt and shorts
make great pajamas, but they aren't warm at all. "Yup, come over here and sit down, I'll show you what to do."
moves back over with him, wiping his wet hands on his cloak before sitting down.
hands him the controller and shows him how to hold it properly, which buttons do what on the screen, and what both of the gray joysticks do.
stares at it, sticking his tongue out in concentration. He wasn't doing too well. "This is hard!" It could be from the fact that he didn't--
stretches out on his stomach, blanket pulled up over his head like a hood, to watch. "Yeah, pretty much. You just gotta get used to it!
smiles, concentrating harder on the game. "You're good at this too, right?"
nods, stealing the Dorito bag to occupy himself while Arthur plays. "Yup. Real good. I play lots though."
hands him back the controller, kicking his feet. "I wanna watch!" Maybe he could learn the game better this way.
sits up on his elbows to pick up where he left off. "See those things-" The things wielding pipes, wrenches and any manner of tools as
weaponry, that he was currently destroying in the game. "-are the bad guys. Called splicers. You wanna beat 'em up before they get you."
nodded. "You gotta shoot em' with arrows?" he asked curiously.
swears at the game lightly before answering him. "Nuh uh. You use this EVE serum stuff...plasmids...gots to do with genes and shit. Stuff
you don't know about yet. Or you can hit 'em with stuff. And shoot 'em with guns."
blinks. "What's a 'gun'?" Kind of funny, how he asks about that and not the plasmid stuff. Maybe it was just too hard to pronounce.
keeps his attention on the screen, completely rapt. Splicers like to sneak up on you... "Metal things you hurt stuff with."
nods. "Sort of like a sword, but way easier to handle. Lots harder to defend against too."
"Really?" He think his bow is probably better, though.
pauses the game and points at the screen. "Yup. See that thingy my dude's holding? That's a gun. Kinda futuristic though."
((Oh okay, I was almost thinking Portal))
nods. "It looks nuthin like a sword!" he exclaimed.
((Don't forget your companion cube))
[<333 Me and my friend called the storage cube the enemy cube :| And we both talked about how they were going to ship them XDD
CompanioncubexEnemycube ftw OTP D;]
((It's likes the drawing on the wall of the person in love with their cube))
((lol so great, i haven't played it my self but my boyfriend went through it and watched him))
drops his head onto his arm to yawn ago. "Nuh uh. Are you stayin' over, little dude? 'cause it's gettin' kinda late, y'know."
blinks. "If ya want." he smiled.
[Ok guys, gotta go to sleep now, night <3]
((aww okay, i'm gonna go play Persona 4 then))
shrugs and sets the controller aside. "You can if you want to. On uh...one condition. If you wake up big, no punchin' me."
blinked at him. "Huh?" he didn't get what he meant. "Why would I wake up big??" he asked.
sat up and turned the system off, letting the blanket fall off his shoulders. "...'cause I don't think you're little for good. You might
change back soon. It's been happenin' to people. Nothin' to worry about."
this subject is confusing. "You mean Imma grow up?" he asked the man. "Where'd the game go?" he didn't understand the concept of television
tosses the blanket back on the couch. "Yup. Everybody grows up. I use to be little, but I grew up too. ...the game? I turned it off."
didn't understand, but he didn't ask further. "What am I like when I grow up?"
decides to just pick him up off the floor and give him a lift to the bedroom. "You're um...you're kinda stuffy. Proper too, all perfect -
grammar and shit. You like to cook but it doesn't always...uh...turn out the way you want. But you're not bad. You're pretty nice to be-
around, actually. And you do this stupid thing when you get pissed but it's really fuckin' ador--...um. You're an alright guy."
flailed a little, not expecting to be picked up so suddenly. "What's stuffy mean?"
sets him down on the bed so he can turn the blankets down. "Kinda...eh, don't worry about it. You're all kinds of other stuff that makes up
nods. "Where are you sleepin'?"
for a second. "I figure I'll sleep on the couch and you can have in here." That way, if England wakes up big in the morning, he won't get
socked in the face for sharing a bed with the little version of him.
frowns a little at this. "But my faeries aren't here..." He wasn't used to sleeping without them in general.
rubs the back of his neck, awkwardly looking around the room for anything that might help. That stuffed rabbit he's kept might do the trick,
but...aw hell, Arthur can't hurt it, even if it is a century or so old. He grabs the stuffed animal from its shelf and holds it out. "How
about this little guy? He helped me lots when I had trouble sleeping." Just 'trouble', because heroes never got scared of sleeping alone.
blinked at it. "I dun wanna hold a dead rabbit!!!" He seemed to think it was real.
holds up one floppy ear. "It's not a dead rabbit! It's just a toy. It's made out of cloth and squishy stuff. It wasn't ever alive."
stares at it, the lower half of his face hidden beneath the covers. "...You sure?"
nods and plops it down on the bed. "Positive. It was one of my favorites when I was little. Right next to these little soldiers yo-..uh...
isn't sure if he'll be able to sleep or not with it. If he could pretend it was alive, maybe... "IfIgetscaredcanIsleepwithyou?" he asked--
quickly in one jumbled up sentence. He wasn't used to sleeping alone.
tries his hardest not to laugh. But it's really difficult when he's imagining that coming out of an adult Arthur... "Well sure, I don't
mind. I used to get so scared of thunderstorms when I was little that I'd come crawl in bed with you. You were big then." ...hell, he'd
still do that if Arthur would let him. Thunderstorms are some scary shit.
nodded, shifting a little. "They're scary..." he repeated. He definitely didn't like how dark the room was, also. He was used to the glow--
pats his head gently. "But there aren't any thunderstorms tonight, so you got nothin' to worry about, hm?"
pulls the covers around him more. " 'S dark." he said,
, "I can fix that!" and gets up to turn the light on in the master bathroom connected to his room. "Tada! Light."
gasps. "You DO know magic." There definitely couldn't be any other way otherwise.
laughs. "Nope. Just somethin' called electricity we invent a ways down the road. You okay now?"
pouts at this ... he still thought it was magic. He nodded. "You don't have any monsters right?"
shakes his head. "Nope, no monsters. My house is totally monster-proof."
pauses at the door. "...would it make you feel better if I stayed in here?"
squirmed a little in the bed. "If you wanna..."
mostly doesn't want to because it makes him feel kinda awkward. He doesn't know how to take care of little kids! "Okay, okay." He shuts the
door and flops down on the bed, crawling down under the covers. "If you wake up and want a drink or somethin', you just wake me up."
nodded, a little happy that he was staying with him. "If you don't wanna sleep with me I understand." he said again. He didn't want him to--
do it because he felt like he had to. He could probably get by.
pats his head as he yawns. "Naw, don't worry little dude. You just get to sleep."
nods, moving and snuggling up to him slightly, clinging onto the stuffed rabbit.
makes sure he has enough blanket, then closes his eyes to go to sleep.
closes his eyes, resting his head on the pillow.
totally doesn't snore. He might kick the blankets off and flop around some, but no snoring.
can *actually* sleep through that, somehow. Until he gets a nightmare. It was either that, or Alfred kicking him that woke him up, but he--
trembling and those *so weren't* tears in his eyes. Nope. He withheld on waking him up though, because he didn't want to bother him. He--
just used to having the faeries there to comfort him after such an experience.
wasn't about to wake up on his own. Once lights-out hit, he slept like a log, usually right through his alarm, too. But oddly enough, a
thunderstorm could get him bolting upright in bed at the first thunderclap. Weird how that worked. Anyway, while Arthur was wide awake,
Alfred remained heavily asleep sprawled over his side of the bed and a little of the middle, clutching his pillow.
eventually worked up the courage to try shaking him, moving closer to him out of instinct.
doesn't exactly wake up all the way. He lifts his head off the pillow, muttering, and squints at Arthur in the dark. "Whussat?"
bites his lip. "I'm scared..." he wasn't used to being alone through something like this.
swipes the back of his hand over his eyes sleepily. "Hn. wha'choo scared for?"
looks away, wiping at his eyes, trying real hard not to cry. "I-I had a bad dream." his voice cracks.
scoots over a little and puts his arm around Arthur's shoulders to pull him in closer. "Just a dream, thas' all. Nothin' to worry 'bout. -
scoots in closer to him, burying his face in his shirt, trying to hide the fact that he was crying. "It was scary..." He was glad Alfred--
strokes his hair, trying to be as comforting as he remembers England being for him so long ago. "I know. But you're awake now. Nothin's
gonna get you. You're safe."
clings to his shirt, trembling. "T-Thank you..." he mumbled. He definitely felt better with this... even though he still missed his--
hugs him tightly when he feels Arthur trembling. "Where's'at rabbit? Rabbit'll keep you safe too." He feels around in the sheets for it,
eventually catching hold of it and tucking it in between them. "There. Everybody's safe now."
gave a nod, trying to get to sleep now again. He didn't think he'd have another nightmare, but he was sort of afraid of that happening again
went right back to sleep almost immediately, totally comfortable. If Arthur woke up again and started moving around, it would probably wake
