well, what id your general big idea that you'd like to explore?

there's a bunch of folks who are convinced they're vampires. and they feed to compensate for an "energy leak:

some of them drink blood, but most of them "feed" off of people's energy, emotions, or natural elements

i wanted to go off of that. since all living things, and the earth included, feed off of energy to some extent.

Thats a good starting idea.
