I think it's a very valid frustration. Haven't encountered

spam on plurk, but it's rampant on twitter.

also our company has a policy to not just friend people we don't personally know, and we only follow back real people.

actually, more wary to friend unknowns on Plurk: afraid of them posting in my Plurks since cannot delete comments if bad!

whereas w/Twitter, no one sees bad @s or DMs. one reason to like Twitter more than Plurk: control over convos.
