But last weeks debate was sorta, kinda a debate. Memorization of stump speeches is just lazy

but all the questions were known beforehand and the answers were prepared

True... but they could at least respond off the cuff to each other's remarks. I don't think debate really allows for that.

why can't we have a real debate? Everything in our society is so bloody orchestrated.
