"Umm.. Is... is the baker here?"

looks up, surprised to see someone there. "Ah! Um, no, he's not here right now. He should show up soon though. I could help you instead?"

shakes his head slowly before looking about the shop. "Ah, actually I cam to give him something."

"Oh!" She chews on her lip nervously. "Well, you could wait for him here if you wanted."

tilts his head slightly before nodding. "Thank you, it's just a thank you thing is all." He gave her a small smile.

smiles back. "It's no problem, I wouldn't send you back out in the rain. Am I allowed to ask what you're thanking him for~?"

nods. "The other day I came in here. He was really nice to me, so I just want to return the favour. That and I heard he's doing better."

tries not to look disappointed, she expected a much better story than that. "Yeah. He is. I think."

blinks before quickly looking away. "Ah I'm sorry, I'm not much for conversation. That's good to hear though."

realizes she might have been being a little rude, and shakes her head. "Oh, it's fine!"

blinks suddenly realizing he'd forgotten to introduce himself. "Ah I'm sorry, I'm Matthew."

beams and holds out her hand to shake. "I'm Suzette. It's nice to meet you, Matthew~"

juggles the box to one hand and takes her offered one with the other. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well Miss. Suzette."

"Did you want something to eat while you wait? I'm sure Francis would want for me to offer you something."

quickly shakes his head. "Ah, no it's okay. I couldn't."

tilts her head to the side slightly. "If you say so, that's fine. Let me know if you change your mind."

nods and glances around the shop again. "Umm... it would probably be easier to just give it to you to give to him, wouldn't it?"

nods back, giving him an apologetic smile. "Yeah, probably. I don't know if he'll show up today, sorry."

shakes his head and laughs. "It's okay," he hands the box over to her. "Thank you."

"I'll make sure to give this to him the next time I see him."

nods and thanks her. "That would be great, thank you again." Giving her a small smile he takes his leave.
