If you could have your choice of Tech item to use in the classroom, which would you pick: MacBook or iPad?

what are the pros and cons for classroom use - I do not have either right now and want to make the best choice.

i don't have an iPad, but I teach in an iMac lab - the macbooks would offer flexibility to add a windows partition for other software

Mac Book might be better because students would be able to create more with pics, vids, and sound....

...had to make that choice myself...new MB Pro or iPad...just placed my order for my new mac.

KimberlyW I know what you mean: the kid in me says "iPad!" - the teacher in me says "MacBook."

MBP. Way more possibilities with them for now. iPad is great if you are lacking the big $$ that the MBP needs.
