wouldn't mind learning...
sits down, smiling at her.
offers her a choice of colors?
picks out some yellow yarn.
pulls out some purple. "This is how you thread the needles," she says, moving a bit too fast herself.
frowns. "Um...can you re-do it? I didn't catch it..."
blushes and nods. "S-sorry..." she slows down, looping the threads and pulling them into position.
watches her, slowly doing the same. "Is this right?":
it's close. "Just pull each loop a little bit tighter."
nods, doing as she says. "Alright.."
nods. "Good! Now watch this loop closely..." She shows her a basic stitch, slower this time.
watches, doing the same, and managing to not do it so horribly. "Like this?"
smiles. "That's right. And you just repeat that until the end of the row, and go back. It's...um...not really that interesting."
This epiphany comes with some embarrassment.
nods, slowly making her way through the row. "It's relaxing, though."
relieved. "Yes, it is. Especially when you can make things for family and friends."
smiles brightly, looking down at her knitting. "Do the stitches change depending on what you make?":
nods. "I just set you up with enough stitches for a scarf pattern, but more complicated ones can involve patterns and things."
hums, continuing to knit. "Will you help me when I get there?"
smiles. "Of course!" She knits her current pair of gloves quickly. "Do you have someone you want to make something for?"
shakes her head, knitting considerably slower. "I don't really have anyone to knit for."
frowns, but dashes that away quickly. "You can knit for anyone, you know. Friends, siblings..."
frowns. "My brother's are jerks."
. "Friends, then? And I'm sure they're not terrible *all* the time. Um. Probably."
shakes her head. "They are." She pauses to think, frowning. "I don't really have many friends."
harder. "Y-you can be my friend. And I'm sure there are lots of other people who want to be friends with you. You're so pretty and brave."
blushes brightly, looking down at her knitting. "Thank you! you really think that?"
nods frantically. "Of course I do! Maybe you could give the scarf to someone as a...let's-be-friends gift?"
nods. "That would be a good idea!" She stands up, hugging her quickly. "Thank you!"
blushes and hugs her back. "It's not a problem. Glad I could...help?"
grins. "I'm going to make you a pretty scarf~" She sits back down, determined.
grins back! "If you'd like to, I'd be very happy."
nods. "I want to make you something nice!"
no doubt she'll do a great job!
knits in content silence for awhile before asking, "Um...this is an odd question, but...have you ever heard of...mail order brides?"
looks up, blinking. "Yeah...why?"
"It's...obviously a very old practice, but I've been thinking lately that it's a bit...unjust. I was...thinking of protesting America with
Lan, but I'm terrible at planning things so she was going to help and would you like to maybe help only if you want to please?"
She takes a breath finally.
tilts her head, not taking very long to think. "Of course
smiles brightly. "Good! I was going to ask all of the female nations and then maybe get some of the men."
frowns. "It might be hard getting some men on board...Maybe Roderich would help. He seems like one of the few decent ones."
he will. "But...I don't think *all* of them are terrible..."
shrugs. "Most of them have no decency."
that...um...Matthew has decency! And Arthur, although he's a bit odd, and Alfred is at least helpful sometimes.
Lotte

that three doesn't really help much...
harder! "Um...there's...Kiku, and...s-sometimes Ludwig although he's really scary, and...Tino?"
rubs her cheek. "Ludwig isn't as bad as his brother, certainly...What about your brother?"
...thinks that depends on what you mean by "decency." >_>;;;
shrugs, turning back to her knitting.
gets thoughtful, putting some fringes on her mitten.
works on her scarf, pleased at how it's coming out.
Lotte

she should, if she wants to!
suggests making up her own.
doesn't think that would turn out so well...
shrugs. "Don't know until you try!"
hesitates, then clears her throat nervously. "I...had a ball of yaaaarn, and I made a scaaaarf, and - oh, this is silly, isn't it?
giggles. "I think it was cute!"
blushes furiously. "Y-your turn."
looks down at the scarf, thinking. "I...once made a scaaaarf, but...it made my friend baaarf?"
giggles, feels bad about it, but then keeps giggling anyway. "And then we - um. What rhymes with that?"
laughs quietly. "I'm terrible at rhyming!"
flounders. "And the dog - the dog says aaaarf?"
laughs loudly. "So we decided to make it a scarf?
nods. "Of course! A little doggy scarf~"
would like to point out they already used the word "scarf."
doesn't think that matters, and wonders why Vash was listening into their song.

if he wants to learn to knit...?
knows how, but wouldn't mind a free lesson in how she knits. It might be useful.
oblige? "Umm...I'm not sure how much different it'll be from how you do it..."
continues working on her knitting, listening to the two.
shrugs. "I don't know either, but I know you're talented, so it'd help me either way."
grins and thanks him, and shows him just how to loops the yarn onto the needles. "This is the hardest part, actually."
loops the yarn onto the noodles.
shows him the first stitch slowly.
