HELP! laws on childrens items in america, I can sell my beaded toddlers necklaces here without an issue but I know things are really strict
latest #15
in the US by my laws I have to put not suitable for children under 36 months but will this cause issues because I sell on a US site
there something I should put in my listings for US buyers
lol untill the cpsia stuff starts again i dont know when that is starting up
i don't think it started yet. but you could run into "chocking hazard" issues
thanks, the 36 months statement covers the chocking hazard parts. I just didn't want to find the US government on my back. I'm adding in
per UK laws just to reinforce that by my county I'm legal. Mostly these things should be down to parental descression
probably so, keep an eye on the forums for cpsia stuff or maybe google cpsia
There was supposd to be an Etsy live chat today with the CPSIA ppl might be on now actually
nope i think its the 25th actually at 5 eastern
oh if anyone goes to that it will be great to know what is said.
actually I think the lead laws are heavily in effect, and jewellry was never one of the things the had any stays on it. which is why I dont
make kids jewelry and probably never will, don't want the headache of having to be in compliance
I recommend going to the etsy cpsia forums and reading up, a lot of ppl have posted info they've gathered about the laws, what is exempt etc
i know you cant use Swaros - but we dont have the same laws in Australia either - makes it confusing
