doesn't notice his stare, as she's too busy backpedaling and klutzing on a pile of laundry, falling into the clothes with an "Oof!"

resigns herself to the inevitable and takes his hand. Oh, well. Maybe he won't notice that this is. Er. Russia's scarf.

"Thank you, America," she says rather formally.

hesitates. "W-well, it's very old, so I have to wash it by hand. But...I suppose I could always use a hand with the rest of the wash?"

smiles, relieved that this might actually not end in disaster. "Alright, then. Could you please separate the whites from the darks?"

goes back to gently working out the stains on the scarf in the water. They're getting sort of brown and crumbly.
