if you're looking just to post pictures, go with photobucket or flickr. if you want a shop, either etsy or artfire, but etsy's

Etsy's fees can be pretty steep too, but for high-end items it probably doesn't matter so much. (says the girl whose fees were $200 in Feb)

I'd buy from photobucket images with prices in the comments, if I 'knew' the person selling
Haffina

you cant 'sell' from flickr - they go a bit nuts
Haffina
says

you could also get a website from someone like yola or go daddy or something - pretty low cost or free
Haffina
says

but you have to drive traffic there yourself
jennaappleton

yeah, flickr is shaky ground, I know a few people who had their accounts deleted without warning for 'selling'.

I love all this advice. I can use as much as possible so I can plan accordingly.

I'm sure anywhere will work as long as you can point us to it.

Benefits of using Etsy or Artfire or similar: you don't have to send invoices or muck around with collecting money. you sound busy...
jennaappleton

so maybe the fees are worth it. Other side of the story, putting photos up on Photobucket or similar is quicker than listing stuff on sites.
Brandi girl

hmm... you could also look at
ecrater.com
or get a yahoo store.
Brandi girl

jenna's right, as long as you point us to it, we'll go
Haffina
says

exactly - something to consider though - zibbet and AF dont have any final fees - Etsy does - might not be an issue with high end stuff
Haffina
says

but it will take a chunk of profits

As long as you can direct us to your Photobucket or wherever your put your pics, they will sell, I'm sure. If you post it, we will buy!!

I agree with what the others have already said! I think high end gems do pretty well on Etsy, but us plurkies will buy from photobucket too!
jennaappleton
