The side-scrolling timeline is straight from simile.mit.edu/timeline/. And I like it, a lot.

We read left to right. 1st things happen at the start (lft) of a line & last things happen at the end (rt). Plurk should work the same way.

Actually, I don't think I've ever seen a timeline that had the newest at the left. Newest is always at the right. Think of graphs.

initially i totally agreed, but i'm starting to reconsider. Reading left to right makes sense. The longer I spend here, the more i like it.

he would be sick if he has to read from left to right and then scroll back in time in the opposite direction. It could create a time paradox
