what a bummer i heard about it on the news i hope some cinemas will still show it

the ones that said they will are all small cinema's. Some of them don't have 3D :s

Disney seems to have shortened the time Alice can be seen in the cinema from 17 to 12 weeks so they can release it on DVD sooner...

this made cinema owners quite angry cause they believe more ppl will just 'wait for the DVD' now instead of going to see the movie.

hence the boycott. Disney says it won't postpone the DVD release.

Eventually, there will be little reason for many people to go to theaters, unless they offer cutting edge technology like 3D now and

holographic imaging soon.

I know with Netflix + Blu-ray on a 60" LED, I find myself simply putting most movies I want to see in the Netflix que...

*nods* the 3D effect on my tv with a pair or cardboard glasses just ain't the same.

but I *do* await the DVD release for lots of movies. Alice really was on my 'need to see in the cinema' list though.
