PhotoShop can be more user frenly..... tools are great and powerful.... but simple task to save logo without background oso so hard....huhu

then save it as PNG, do not flatten the file... after u crop the bg. u delete the orginal layer and save a PSD file first for safety

cos JPEG is a file with BG.. if u delete the BG. then it will give u white BG.
