First of all, let me say up front that I believe humans were created by God as humans, and did not descend from apes.

Then, let me add that I do not like the argument you set forth. There are many reasons why there could be both humans *and* apes

even if evolution happened on a grand scale.

For example: A set of apes could migrate to a different climate, with different weather, different foods available, etc, where they

would have to adapt.

*if it were possible to mutate genetically as much as would be necessary for apes to become humans*, then humans could appear there

while apes were still happily surviving in their original habitat.

This is easily explained by evolution. I suggest research. Apes and humans have a common ancestor. We both branched out. It's
