there's a temptation to app Kanna as a villain, actually, along with her entire troupe-- it just fits in so well with the Empire's MO to have a traveling acting troupe that they SWEAR isn't gay (though they'll gladly take your leisure chits) as an undead/Corsair-hunting armored column

If you were going that route they would be required to only perform state-sanctioned propoganda which generally tends to suck so I'm not entirely convinced that's the right route but you are free to make a pitch for it in an app

omg Kanna! I actually don't remember much about her/Sakura Wars but I was following along with an LP of the game many many years ago and she's stuck in my memory bc I don't think she's the sort of character you get a lot of in harem stuff.

Also, definitely the sort of woman Ilphyl will have a giant crush on, so good thing they are getting to dance with her.

AzureChrysanthemum: In the end I decided to split the difference: the Flower Division are definitely an Imperial propaganda machine but enough Kanna/Sumire rumors floated to the surface that Kanna had to fight her way out.
