well, I found the laptop I want, which should be able to handle most of what I want. Now I just need to be able to afford it.

and to be honest, comparatively, it's not terribly expensive. It's also upgradable in both RAM and hard drive, so I can boost some stuff, and it's got both USB-A and -C type plugs.
