so Buddy spent overnight at the vet Thursday because blood work showed he's in kidney failure

he was brought back Friday to spend the weekend at home, he has blood work again Monday but it's quite likely the decision will have to be made then

they took him because he hasn't been eating and has lost some weight because of that

yesterday evening my brother and dad had to cradle him like a baby and make him take his medicine and some wet food

he wouldn't even lick the spoon, and when they put him down he just loafed there in the same spot

this morning I woke up between 5 and 8 and Buddy was in my room

he seemed really restless

he was pacing a circuit around my bed, wheezing and drooling

idk if that's some kind of end-of-lide symptom of behavior but it strikes me as extremely odd considering how lethargic he was last night

I texted dad when I woke up again around 11 and asked how Buddy is acting and he said they haven't seen him at all

oh, as soon as I typed that I found him, he was resting on my heat register

now he's back to pacing in circles but slower and staggering

I called Shawn to ask his advice (he has had a lot of pets and cats who have passed) and he says it sounds like Buddy is in a lot of pain
