So. Dorian is our protagonist, and he has a lot of issues, but I really wanna get his main deals, and the deal of his alternate Los Angeles, down to a science in the first chapter

And if I want to make this a simple story, that means that most of this first novel is going to focus on two things:

1) Los Angeles herself

2) Dorian's struggle within that framework

I don't wanna make it too crazy, and I know I wanna end it with leaving Los Angeles, no matter the loose ends

(Let them haunt Dorian later. In some cases, possibly literally)

(Eventually he gets a plane to Milwaukee for reasons)
