Hey, language people (including bootknife), do you have any idea what modern term would be used as "country", in the same way that "-polis" is used for "city"?

I'm trying to work out a word to describe an entire nation run by necromancy. I would think of "necropolis" as a "city of the dead", but what about an entire country or region? Or would "necropolis" stretch enough for that?

But that might not be the vibe you're going for. Generally, other than -land, there's not one for English.
