Gift giving from Ratio
all of his gifts are being dropped off on new year's eve because I've decided that HSR's version of the winter holidays is a mash up of new year celebrations and Xmas gift giving
first said to have started by a masked fool who wanted everyone to enter the new year delighted and happy
completely coopted by the IPC for profit purposes. so it's heavily consumerist just like our Xmas lmaooo
the year-end celebration on IPC owned planets is based off the IPC fiscal year to boot
the end of the year is the end of the 4th quarter lmao

onto the actual gift giving
I've actually realized now is the worst time to do this bc I need to wake in 6 hours for comiket. I can probably do the rest while waiting in the lineup for like 2+ hours...
on my list is Hiyori, Kaga, Yor, Yuji, Ereshkigal and Yesod
if your character would gift Ratio, you can drop a note here of what they'd give so I can come up with a gift in return
I put in tons of thought because Ratio does not half ass gift giving

c_avnas: yes and some of his gifts are based off research he's done since some people in syn are people you can actually Google (like the gods)
like for Yato he gave sake and kagamimochi bc that is apparently what you offer to gods in the new year in japan
and Kaga he is gifting a silver axe pendant because that is how they christen ships in japan apparently...
he did do research on eresh too but ultimately decided to treat her like a regular person so he's gifting her things like cheese, meats, chocolates and other foods from around the world to broaden her experiences
the hardest one for me was yesod bc he's a box! can't gift him food, and it'd be offensive to gift yesod random oil or mechanical parts just because he's inorganic
I settled on a handcarved wood snake figurine bc it's the year of the snake coming up and also it'd be a total coincidence bc ratio doesn't know yesod at all
