8. What was their childhood/teenage bedroom like? Oh, he definitely had a four poster bed. Very fancy, very well kept room, plenty of books, nice desk appropriately sized. Moving to the castle and bunking with the other young knights must have been a huge culture shock for a variety of reasons.

ok besides the nail file that he apparently always carries in his hair JUST IN CASE???, Avan's definitely that person who always has whatever you need in his purse despite not carrying a purse

definitely always has a notebook and writing implement on him, probably some of his special candy, emergency needle and thread, pliers, pocket knife, handkerchief...

11. What’s a typical night’s sleep like for them? going with COB for this one. Avan definitely goes to sleep early compared to Popp, and I think on average he sleeps pretty well. Probably had a hard time sleeping the first few nights because fuuuutuuuurrre, and it took him a while to find a comfortable

position with his horns, but he's figured it out by now, and sleeps fine

wakes up well before the dawn to sneak out to the woods for private sword practice

4. What’s something they were sure would happen in their future but didn’t? well Popp has given him a wrong impression or two--

I think he was expecting a very different reaction from Roka and the other knights when the truth about his true strength came out

I think at my specific canon point, he hasn't thought a lot about the future in specific terms and is kind of just playing it by ear as he goes. he's not expecting the knighthood and the unspecified Thing he has going with Flora to last forever, but he wants to keep it going as long as he can before it inevitably

comes crashing down and he ends up isolated again. which is not exactly what happened but also not entirely... not what happened???

He would not guess the hero tutor part, but Avan's lifestyle from, like, 18-30 isn't all that far off from what he might guess, in that it's mostly solo traveling

10. How do they want to be remembered after they die? OOF. I think the way he is remembered in canon would please him, but in a way where it is kind of embarrassing. definitely would rather be remembered as the Teacher than the Hero
