When a doctor tries to examine me, it feels sharp. Like I’m being stabbed, and squeezed at the same time

I’ve broken my leg, I’ve had the gallbladder out, etc. I have never had real “no no no get it out I can’t stand it” hyperventilating pain like that before

And last year it was the same deal. I took Sergio with me and even he couldn’t distract me from the slicing pain of it all

Gave me the wand and I shifted it with her help and then there was a pop sound and suddenly no pain. It was strangely in further and I could feel it and there was the pressure everyone talked about but suddenly no pain

I’m wondering if all my life there was just a crazy heavy uterine lining that got knocked loose by the vaginal ultrasound

Because this was the first Pap smear in 30 years of life that I didn’t feel pain at all

I was about to say, a cyst would've been my first guess. Maybe shoot a message to your gyno? I know most kinds of cysts can come back if the cyst wall is left in there, so it might be worth asking about. Otherwise, I'm so happy it wasn't terrible this time around and hope for more of the same going forward! ♥

I'm so sorry for all that you had to go through, but I am so happy to hear you're on the other side of it

Whatever the cause, I'm super happy it seems to have resolved, at least for the time being! Though I, too, wonder about a cyst, having had a particularly nasty inflamed one under my bra band. They are brutal on the outside, I can totally see them causing that much pain in such a delicate area.

I'm glad to hear that you're not hurting now!
Also gotta say I agree with the others that suspect it was/is a cyst. When I had my hysterectomy they realized I had been suffering with dozens of cysts that hadn't been showing up on an external ultrasound. Check with your gyno for sure. Cysts can & will come back without treatment, so it's worth mentioning.

selachian: I won't derail this plurk, but yeah, not fun. If they'd done an inter/trans vaginal scan or scope they would have seen it much sooner. >.<;
Lesson learned. Don't be afraid to bitch, whine and yell for another type of scan/visual check if you're hurting there.

Also if you're looking for a hysterectomy without the whining/bitching, find a trans friendly clinic/doc if you can. They give you far less hassle about wanting to get reproductive organs removed. If they can't help, they can generally point you in the right direction.
