I helped a patient because, end of year, insurance, who is in and out of network questions. That is the time of year we are in. She called and wanted to know, I don't know. I can't know. But the insurance can.
So I told her the right words to use and gave some information to use too. Because with insurance, if you don't ask the right questions, you-
don't get answers. Good easy conversation. She calls back about 15 minutes later, and asks to speak to me specifically. She then tells me I made her experience the most happy and stress free she's ever had. She finds me helpful and kind and that I must make everyone I speak to feel the same. Just lavishing me with compliments. And it means so much.
I am going to talk to my manager about being trained for Manage Care Coordinator possibly so I can help people with insurance all the time. So I find giving Pt's the NPI number for the doctors makes asking insurance so much easier for in network and coverage questions. So I just do that and it turns out great every time.
