We hardly do this at home anymore. Siguro kung naa pa mata during christmas eve. As in, kanang alive, alert, awake, enthusiastic na mata (mata = awake) at home on Christmas eve but...we just mostly do Christmas mornings/lunches the next day gyud.

I have a feeling the noche buena thing, practice (also media noche) is dying out. Or it could just be me...?

we never really did noche buena the way i think it is done by other families. we just wait for midnight, have midnight snack of christmas ham and bread while listening to tv mass. then we sleep. we do mass again on Christmas Day proper and the more festive lunch.

We still have it.
