i do wanna talk about a fun sequence of events that im lowkey pleased with

→ found that artist doing all this great Tales art on Tumblr
→ I posted the art to the Tales subreddit with credit to the artist, one of their posts popped off
→ this inspired them to actually join reddit

→ flash forward a week or so, Tales from the Road comes out
→ artist bangs out an absolute masterpiece and posts it to the subreddit

→ the actual author is one of the subreddit mods, sees it, loves it, contacts the artist and asks for permission to make it the official cover art for the story on his blog

→ the artist is losing their mind over it in the best way and people are begging them to do other comics / officially sanctioned graphic novels / etc

i'm just incredibly pleased they're getting recognition and full-on endorsement from the actual author bc they are hands down my favorite fanartist in the fandom
