the hair is actually working out really well

because i kind of fucked up the curls i couldn't put them on the head as the pattern showed me

but i am also kind of convinced that the people who made this pattern are stupid

i will make the curls shorter next time. but regardless

the horn and ears are both shorter than called for and the legs are a touch longer

and if i'd had time to figure out the hair it would all be a lot shorter, the mane especially is just a bit too long

and of course now it's snowing so i feel uneasy about going to a place to send it off

yeah it ended up pretty good but the first one i put on still feels too long, i don't like how long it is lmao

which is probably at least partly because i could NOT get it to curl any more, the part that i sewed to the head was entirely flat

well, you can just cut it at an arbitrary point (a little longer than where you want it to actually be) and then take the new tail-end and close it off with a tapestry needle

i think that's the starter end so you do have to be careful not to unravel a lot of stitches getting a tail loose but it's doable

i'll experiment with that next time
