I got a coffee flavor I don't usually get this morning and then my face got itchy, so I went to the dunkin website to look up their ingredient lists and have discovered that the butter pecan flavor swirls contain, and I quote, "Caramel Color"
AND WHAT'S IN CARAMEL COLOR, DUNKIN?
IS IT YELLOW NO 5???
it tasted pretty good, too :/
guess I should also avoid getting anything caramel-flavored, too, which also sucks
some butter pecan flavored syrups for coffee contain yellow number 5, from a cursory look.
they're two different things! im being sure because I don't want you to be locked out of a lot of Asian cuisine because they use caramel color in their sauces.
yeah I only distrust dunkin, not any use of "caramel color"
I have definitely eaten a lot of Asian sauces without getting all itchy like this

I would guess then that the flavor syrup was added somewhere and caused your allergy

I can very easily believe that they're using a different syrup than the one the ingredients list is based off of
