it's easy it just takes a lot of time
oh sweet mother of god this caramel came out SO GOOD
it's rich. not overly sweet, buttery, and has the nicest subtle maple flavor

it being maple flavored just makes me want it MORE
it's not super overpowering, either, the maple taste is very subtle but adds such a nice flavor

Ooh, looks tasty.
how long does it normally take for everything to set/firm, because good lord, it's still not firmed up
was the caramel fully set before you put the chocolate on? (thinking)
pistachioed: it wasn't super hard, but it was firm
weirdly though, the recipe said to chill for ten minutes and I definitely took longer than 10 minutes to make that ganache so
oh yeah i never trust rest/chill times lmfao
idk i would say pop that in the freezer for twenty minutes and see where it's at

okay so i tried it and the caramel and ganache is really good, but the actual shortbread seems to break apart a lot?? though I did only sample the edges, which are more charred/crisp than the rest....

It's the same thing that makes it so soft and melty
Yeah shortbread is the type of cookie that breaks apart super easily and it’s crumbly
