Artist Rachel Kenaston shared an email saying UnitedHealth Group filed a DMCA claim to stop her from selling a merchandise with HER artwork of Luigi Mangione. There was no United logo on the design, just Luigi.

not sure if claiming to own luigi is a thing they necessarily want to convey

they really aren't reading the room

there's also the likelihood of a rando doing the takedown claim while claiming to be from unitedhealth

and since the systems are generally automated, these things only actually get checked on appeals

yeah, I don't think UHC really has any dedicated resources looking for copyright infringement, since their work isn't related to that at all

it's not even like they have any kind of merch brand, like some of the bigger organizations that rely on fundraising to function
