care04: nope unfortunately, welcome to 'murica/Amerikkka kung saan sweatshop ang asta ng mga corpos lalo na govt contractors like my call centre!!! I need to file for leave kasi 4th of July, Memorial Day (last Mon of May), Labour Day (1st Mon of Sep), Thanksgiving Day and Xmas Day lang ang holidays namin.
ligayaharuka: huy 🫂🫂🫂

pero alam mo yan talaga yung isa sa shook realizations ko sa US working culture, na ang konti lang ng holidays. Usually, ilang weeks ba ang leave nyo jan?

luna_y_gatos: People in HCW sa US are burnt out din. Severely understaffed and overworked mga workers doon. Source: most of my fam are in nursing in the US rn.

....but it's kinda relatable since same same lang naman here in the PH (didn't mean to sound conyo, I just really am awkward pag mag taglish since I'm originally bislish and dislike/feel the most uncomfy using tagalog/fil)

although, there are also loads of professionals committing fraud trying to bill Medicare for medical equipment/prescriptions na hindi naman kailangan ng pasyente (it was Covid tests during the pandemic, tapos ngayon balik sa diabetes supplies and urology supplies).

ang problem kasi in exchange for PPP, retired govt officials and workers alike get free healthcare for life. Pero taongbayan ang magsho-shoulder ng cost lol. And sadly, ito yung namana nating health system sa Pinas lolz.

The rest of us... out of pocket pa rin and funny na may 2 years in country/community service pa mga docs before they can go anywhere eh kakaunti lang naman privileges nila like maybe maka less sa pf ng other docs pag magpa consulta etc. That has been my experience as an anak ng doc (should've also been

crysta17: well, sa US, all the state and federal govt officials and workers get free healthcare for life lol. Which, honestly, no official or worker should get. Ex-military does too, esp veterans, but even that they are rolling back to only cover the ex-officials and the ex-admin side of the VA and related orgs, which, WTAF?

ligayaharuka: I feel like sa ex military peeps, dun sila dapat sa military medics sa mga hc cases nila sana di sa regular hospitals or sth like that. They have their own mini gov't, mini everything system including health care naman na. Namemerwisyo pa sa mga dapat sana sa mga regular people/masses (non gov't, non-mil)
