I was talking to Jess about my (annoying) attraction to, as Pyrrha puts it in Nona The Ninth, ‘landmine people’ (“some people were put into the world to rig it to explode, then walk away...I always fell for that”) -- I (and maybe she) specifically mean people who are willing to fuck up the status quo without much chance they’ll live to see the result
