stupid problem I've discovered with my new graphics card: for monitor ports it has 1 HDMI port and 3 DisplayPort ports. my previous set-up was 1 DVI, 1 HDMI, and 1 DP
we've got a box full of DVI cords, 1 DVI to HDMI converter cable and you bet your ass no spare DP cables
my tablet requires an HDMI port so it's out of commission until I get a DP converter cable for my second monitor, which should be simple enough but it's enough of an annoyance to complain about
anyway hardware installation of new card was a success, installing drivers now
follow up problem is that it is now occurring to me that I have no fucking idea what to do with the old GPU
besides flipping it off in my moment of victory like the mature adult I am
