I collect Christmas monsters and beasties like I'm collecting Pokemon. I gotta catch 'em all (and find a way to release them on my misbehaving customers...)

Never heard of this one, but last year I was researching folklore connected to Christmas--and it's amazing how many cultures have "scary" creatures linked to the holidays!

It's a bit wild how many spooky Christmas critters there are. I suspect since the winter in the Northern Hemisphere can get dark and spooky, people came up with that lore (or maybe spotted enough weird things in the dark) as a way to process it all.
