The other day, while walking on the trail, I saw these seeds and seed pods. They look similar to milkweed but not quite. Any ideas?

Cattail?
My first thought was thistle, but that can't be right, either
Apple says milkweed, but I don’t know that, so I can’t say.
It might be a slightly different variant of milkweed. 
Apple’s identifications aren’t totally reliable.
2xstitcher: Yes, I'm guessing so.
It definitely thinks Teddy is a cockapoo, which is strange, because it usually thinks Bembo is a Portuguese Water Dog.
They could easily be milkweed. Many different varieties.
Indian hemp?
I think the thistle fluff is much shorter.
