True! Justine has a very...complicated relationship with it. I was actually saying this earlier somewhere else, but Justine is well aware that the dynamic with her father (using her for experiments and such) is one that she sees as fine for them. And she carries some of the blame for it because she antagonized him. But it's how he showed his love!
She does, however, recognize that other people don't have that dynamic. Combine that toxic view with a dubious definition of consent and you get...this.
Will just nodding his head along with toxic love and experiments and terrible definitions of consent. getting past that was a big part of his graduation.
