Kid comes in with a busted-up mouth and there's talk about whether or not they're going to need to pull a tooth. Dentist consult is called

Mom speaks with dentist team, sits with kid. Bedside nurse comes in with prior-ordered nasal anesthesic

Mom says that she spoke with dentist, dentist says they're pulling the tooth

Nurse goes "Great." Gives the kid the anesthetic

Dentist says "uh what the fuck why did you not ask us? We are NOT pulling the tooth."

Mom goes "No they said they were"

Nurse caught in middle

ED Doc goes "okay but can you pull the tooth because we otherwise just gave this kid knock-out gas without any need and now they're unconscious"

Dentist goes "No, they don't need it"

Mom pissed, says she's taking the kid (the UNCONSCIOUS KID) out

And wheels them out in a wheelchair

"But can you pull the tooth anyway so the anaesthetic isn't wasted" is just bizarre to me

Apparently there was an argument about whether the tooth was needed to be pulled or not. Dentist first ordered the anesthetic but apparently they do htat for everyone whether they needed it or not, just to have in case

Dentist was still reviewing, doctor believed they needed it done, so did Mom. Nurse operating on erroneous info
