I think she has a really funny way of transposing spells, just uhhh. if a Wizard Wizard were to look at her spellbook they'd be like. what am I seeing here. I mean the math works but I don't get how you got here.

also thinking about the mere concept of the place where she grew up.... a lil commune of small folk (mostly goblins and other kobolds, maybe other small far removed fae, the occasional halfling or gnome)
