Members of our old church belong there. Some left because our church didn't meet their needs. Others joined after our church closed.

We knew it would hurt, feeling like failures that we couldn't keep our church going while they are ok.

It was.... fine. Friends from the old church were happy to see us. Other members of the church welcomed us and hoped we'd come back for another service. This pastor has been there about 30 years, so we've known him and occasionally attended special services there.

The sermon didn't much inspire us. (The best were when we had Catholic priests who were also college professors.)

On the other hand, this church has ministries including a knitting/crochet group.

I've missed having a church community, and this one would probably do fine since the catholic church continues to push me away.
