Peter and his wife Alyssa were in Pennsylvania this year for thanksgiving visiting her parents

Four hour drive from Pittsfield Mass where they live

They have Beauregard, the worst house pet in the world, with them. Beauregard is Alyssa’s eight pound Havanese who terrorizes everyone he meets from dogs to neighbors to vets. They had to take him with them because he’s been banned from pet hotels near them for biting

They are in a house with Alyssa’s parents and her brothers. One of her brothers always was into exotic pets and had a reptile room on Long Island where we all used to live. Now he has a herd of ducks

It’s too cold for them outside so every so often Peter will be corralling Beauregard and the duck herd will waddle by laughing at them

They were supposed to be back home yesterday. The car broke down

Won’t be fixed for two weeks

Peter’s boiler is busted. He has to empty it every two days or it won’t work anymore while he waits on the only repair dude in the berkshires to get on it

Oh. No.

They’re borrowing a car after I asked if they wanted me to come get them. They have work on Monday too

And every time there’s a pause I hear “BARK BARK BARK” “QUAAAAACK QUACK QUACK QUACK”
