"Natsume has been working on helping to build a room addition to Maomao's mushroom house that would be a Japanese style wet room area for toilet/shower/soaking tub. His wish would be to help incorporate it into the house and hook up the plumbing.

However Maomao is super frugal and willing to have that be the only source of running water and electricity (so the water can stay hot). Would this still be a total of 100 shards split between them?

yes that works re: the carnival thread! and maomao would be super frugal about it but also OOCly i was planning on saving up shards to get maomao a business license before anything else

do you want to have them have haggled so hard that it comes out of his rent instead, and i can cover it?

if you're okay with that! ICly to maomao he is still a temporary guest so she'd be extremely stingy on things she doesn't think she needs. if you don't want to spend all those shards atm though it doesn't have to happen right away!
