But no, anyone who has to talk shit about something other people like and call them insane for defending the things they like has lost the damn plot and has zero interest in a fair debate.

This plurk sparked by a YouTuber with a very blatant case of "I hate Star Rail and I'm making it everyone's problem".

There's trying to have a grounded discussion about a piece of media's problems and then there's insinuating a want for mental health care for liking it.

If there was a perfect piece of media for everyone then we wouldn't be talking fondly about the stuff we personally find enjoyable.

I've been on and off with the game myself, but it wasn't out of any genuine dislike or perception of glaring, irreparable problems with it. I'm a HoYo nut and I'm probably going to stay that way.

.......there are pieces of media out there that would make me question someone's sanity for enjoying, but Star Rail is not one of them. and I'm also not gonna go on a huge rant calling them (random insult here) for doing so, unless it's a very specific subset which happens to be extremely illegal.

And of course, I have my issues with how some things were handled (people have probably seen my grumbling about Otto at least once lmao), even if ultimately I can see why they went there.

That doesn't mean I'm gonna fucking belittle people for not enjoying it.

jisusushi I am really tempted to call this a case of the long-standing irony poisoning that permeates the internet. Nowadays you can't have a sane discussion about anything without people taking some form of piss in the larger pot.

And it fucking sucks on multiple levels that this is a thing.
