i took today off as i still had extra leave credits i didn't know what to use for, so i figured i'd do a rest day and also a decluttering day

i've handed off the (physical) books i read this year last saturday, either to someone else or in the little free library. this morning i repacked the book stock i have left for the market into one bag so they're all in one place, along with the other stuff i put on the table like the chalkboards

i also brought down to the living room shelf a number of the physical books i have remaining, and arranged them on the shelf + my goodreads shelf as my 2025 tbr lmao. so far i have 17! a couple more are upstairs in the storage room but i don't want to overcommit given that i will likely not have the brain to read for most of next year 😂

now i have to figure out how to sort my yarn and crochet stuff. i might just need a big box like the one i store my scarves and winter gear in, at this rate

also i might... shop for more yarn... bc kayla said she wanted a hodr bookmark and well i guess that's an excuse to buy more colors (and hobbii has a black november sale going on )

tomorrow hubby has the day off and he said he'll put up the tree, which is good so i can take photos of my merch for my kofi shop 😂 i'm hoping to join this sunday's craft networking hour over on twitter and try to get some interest lol

i'll probably clear out clothes next so we can see what we can donate to the charity shops. there's more to move around to get the nursery space ready but it's heavy lifting for hubby to do lmao

I will happily be your excuse to buy more yarn

this also reminds me i need to take the bags of clothes we have and drop them off in one of the donation bins in town

had another appointment today. things are progressing well so far! next appointment and scan will be in december. i also still have to book a vax shot for RSV but they said i can have it when i come in next time for the scan.

i also had to work on my visa renewal today. how is it almost 3 years??????? like we all know time flies but HOLY HECK

we still don't know when we're visiting home. some of hubby's coworkers have encouraged him that it's easier to travel with an infant than a toddler... but we'll see. that bit aside, we have to consider $$$. the airfare alone will set us back + people expect stuff when those from overseas return and i hate having to deal with that LMFAO

but money really is the primary consideration bc being on mat leave means we'll be set back by a substantial amount next year

writing is alas not lucrative lmao and i'll still have to find a lucrative side hustle that i can manage on top of childcare and housework

hubby told me not to worry bc he'll just work overtime but i also want him home as much as he's able???? so lol we'll see how next year goes

small businesses in the uk have been reporting difficulties this year (some even closing down bc demand just isn't there) so i'm not getting my hopes up for a merch side hustle either

we do have savings tho, so i'm not stressed out. it would just be nice if we didn't have to touch that since who knows what the world will be like in the coming years, better be prepared
