AND hopefully the fact that Bill barely even lied to him in the introduction. Ford's been told "you're special" and "you're gonna change the world" before, why would he disbelieve it when this godlike being is affirming all his hopes and dreams? Where are the lies here? The lies come later

AND the fact that Ford was seventeen, or, at best, just barely eighteen when Stan was kicked out and if Caryn couldn't dissuade Filbrick, Ford definitely couldn't have, so we should stop acting like this still-basically-a-kid had more power than, oh, I dunno, his parents

OH ALSO the fact that if I were electrocuted with, at least, 500 volts, for, at least, several hours, I, too, would correct someone's grammar. Grammar correction is pettily therapeutic and of course it happens with siblings.

and YES they did and it was great (well, i mean, torture is bad, but they gave it the weight it deserved and also talked about how trust issues/paranoia is not a moral failing, which i personally appreciate)
