I KNEW I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS OF ITS DELICIOUSNESS
IN EVERY ASPECT BUT THE PHYSICAL I AM GIVING YOU BOTH SWIRLIES
I'm not a fan of baked beans personally but I could see how it'd work
CALLIE YOU CAN'T DENY THE TRUTH
I have never heard of this, is it good?? I mean, I like sweet n sour pork with pineapple, so.....??
ignore callie. callie is a poor lost sinner who knows no goodness. I say it can be good.
I AM VERGIL TRYING TO GUIDE YOU OUT OF THE NINE CIRCLES
i've never heard of this but i would eat it
if you like pineapple, do it
ignore lucifer up there trying to convince you away from the light of goodness that is food
Every day we stray further from god's light
Baked beans often have a sweetness to em
That sugary flavor is the morality leaving your body
You know, I'm not generally a fan of baked beans, but I think I can see how this would work...
I will go down in history as a martyr
just accept the truths of this world, callie!!!!
Never had it but I, too, can see how it would work. I'd prefer it with pulled pork instead of hot dogs, though. And BBQ sauce.
listen, this was food meant to be had cheaply lmao. and so, hot dogs,
i think the bbq sauce probably depends on the kind of baked beans you get tho, some of them try to do flavors
yeah Bush's are pricey but the flavors are good.
but I also just throw sauce in beans.
bakes beans and hot dogs (or spam) I've done but I've never tried it with pineapple before. that does sound tasty
countertheory: chili n beans + pineapple, discuss
i've never eaten this but i would
i feel i would need to have more chili
oh yes definitely the chili should be the main ingredient
i would in fact eat it without the beans. chili-forward.
lmao i meant mainly that i need to eat more chili in general, i do not have it regularly enough
neither do i, yet it is a blessing
i rarely eat chili unless it's homemade and i've been given confirmation that it's not spicy...
I'm a snob who only eats beef hot dogs, but this could still work.
people who think meat + fruit is an abomination have never given it a fair try
yeah what about mango chicken, that rules
i'm ambivalent about pineapple but i will die on mango hill
when i was growing up my dad would serve us ham smothered in a cherry sauce for various holiday feasts
I'm going to be honest, I hate baked beans all by themselves so this food combo was never gonna have my approval regardless, and it's definitely not the meat being combined with pineapple that turns me off
I will say, though, that I have both accepted that some people like baked beans, and accepted that baked beans and hot dogs are a thing
(Which tbh always just struck me as like "I often have these foods together, what if I don't even wait until they're in my stomach to combine them???", which........sure ig)
But I have genuinely never heard of this combo before anywhere, including in literal years of watching food vlogs from around the world
I don't genuinely care what people eat, obviously, I am just enjoying the bit, but also it seems like even the people in this plurk who think it sounds good have never heard of this combo before either
I am way more taken aback by a completely unfamiliar food marriage and wondering where the hell it came from than I am genuinely repulsed by it
(Also, again, as soon as you added baked beans into it I wasn't gonna like it no matter what else went in there)
So as a genuine question: has anyone here actually heard of/had this combo prior to this plurk, or is it indeed as unexpected and unfamiliar a food combo as it feels like to me
I want to know whether or not this is a case of "oh, only I/my family eat this food this way?"
Because the one thing that keeps being said in this plurk is "I've never heard of this but"
yeah, nope, first time for me, but I also like Hawaiian pizza, so clearly I am history's greatest monster.
/s
also first time hearing this combo, closest I've heard of or had is pineapple with ham on one end and baked beans with hotdogs cooked in them on the other
I have never heard of combining baked beans, pork, and pineapple all together
