hilariously the tickets were cheaper than regular screen theaters in the city, I guess since it's half an hour away location really is everything there

tyyy, I haven't seen an IMAX movie literally since I was a kid so I think it's worth the drive... esp since I don't go to the movies much anymore

I think I'm gonna start canon reviewing for Apollo while I'm at it... I have the AJ trilogy on Steam and I know I can probably blast through the first game since I know it so well

okay Wicked was REALLY good

I cried more at the beginning of the movie than the ending though lmao

as someone who never got to see the play live (I saw a shitty bootleg video of it), being able to follow the story in a gorgeous detailed movie was def like.... the best alternate option

as much as I would've loved to see the play, not everyone lives in places that show the big ones and it's still extremely rare for plays to be filmed legally

but the casting for everyone was perfect, the songs were perfect, the new twist at the end I... don't remember from the play but I'm pretty sure was in the book??

as much as I love the book too, the tone is entirely different so I'm okay with them not adding too awful much in from the book tbh

this was only the second movie I saw all year but I'm super glad I did, yeah it was a pretty long movie but I loved every minute of it

(and tbh. tbqh. when boiled down this first movie really is just a fantasy version of 'this is what it's like to get woke in college and have your first lesbian crush')
