i cannot believe after years of speculating hagakure was the traitor she was the one who found out the ACTUAL traitor and revealed what she looks like in the process 💀💀💀 bruh
if the author of mha wasn't so shit at writing women, maybe no one would've even suspected her. he wasn't exactly subtle with how much he pushed the aoyama agenda and listen, i love him, but it really just shows that by how little we actually know about the girls, they became more suspicious than the traitor we were practically hand fed from the start
i know jackshit about hagakure and most of the other girls to the point of not even caring if one of them died. not because i hate female characters, i LOVE female characters. but because the girls in mha lack any sort of individuality apart from very "quirky girly" stereotypes. they're all just carbon copies of the nice quiet or outgoing girl
i think mha is actually one of the best anime examples of when an authors just sucks at writing female characters so much they lose any value to the plot or emotionally to the readers. they don't even serve the typical harem no personality trope. they're just kind of there and don't do much. the very few character developments we got were very basic and
short lived aside from ururaka. it's such a waste of what could've been a great cast of side characters. not to mention the oversexualization, ESPECIALLY in the very beginning, just makes this even more of a slap in the face. they toned it down a little later on but it didn't really make up for it. giving female characters NO personality and just treating
them like objects when necessary for engagement is absolutely vile. this show is supposed to be kid friendly too but a guy trying his hardest to touch and look at girls without their consent is somehow a running gag????? ok man
also hagakure having the cutest design out of everyone and being the only one we cannot see 99.9% of the time is crazy too. i get it's her quirk but most of them don't have it active all the time so why her 😭
