faramond: Patola I eat ever since I was a kid, munggo I didnt like it back then because of it's powdery texture. Now, Friday doesnt seem complete without munggo soup.

luna_y_gatos: I somehow have taken to the taste of munggo even as a kid (I wasn't a picky eater), but now, I love it! I could pair it with a lot of food: usually fried, which ends up being the usual salted fish + munggo combo for Fridays.

sjonsvenson: Patola (silk squash) is a vegetable that's sometimes used over here. If I must describe it, it would be a "savory version of cucumber" (LOL) IDK if that even makes sense.
for the soup dish, it's usually the inclusion of a bit of ground meat (or diced meat, even something like spam) in the soup that lends its distinctive flavor.
