i watched via jocat's stream bc i'm a big baby when it comes to horror but the writing is so good

The symbolism and narrative parallels are also some of the best I've seen in like

Anything ever

like Anya's corpse being censored in the medbay because Jimmy refuses to acknowledge her as a person or a thing to care about

and going thru it a second time around is so ... you see all the stuff in a new light

About how Jimmy at the end talks about how much he hurt Curly, Daisuke, and Swansea...but not a single mention of Anya, the single person who was hurt the most by her, because he doesn't care

People have mentioned how Curly ending up the way he did and being at the mercy of Jimmy's cruelty was almost like karmic punishment about how he didn't help Anya, and now he gets to experience his own version of Jimmy Hell as punishment

So many assumptions you make about the characters are purely because most of the game is told from Jimmy's perspective, someone who lies so much he believes his own bullshit

Swansea is a real one, though it's kind of sad that the literal drunk was the actual safest person to hold the axe

I'm glad there's an achievement for getting killed by him 10 times in the cemetary and it's called THE GOOD ENDING

I've seen so many analysis about how Jimmy and Curly both suck so much and it's really like "you two fucks deserve each other"

yeah. yeah

Yeah, I think a lot of it is because the game tells a fairly complete story despite its way of telling it

I think the biggest question I have is what really went down between Jimmy and Swansea just before Judgment

Jimmy would love to have us believe that Swansea went all crazy axe murderer, but that's almost certainly not what happened

there's a pretty good comment about that on the first YT you linked

though he probably did chase Jimmy with the axe because fuck Jimmy everyone is dead because of you

but Jimmy did somehow get the upper hand and managed to subdue and tie him up
